Types of Events

There are many types of events you can enjoy with your terrier.  We highly recommend and enjoy them ourselves.  whether you enjoy hunting, racing, go-to-ground, agility, conformation, or child and youth events, we look forward to seeing you!

Hunting

Your Jack is first and foremost a high-energy hunting dog. Jacks are born to go underground to bolt or hold quarry such as groundhog, opossum, red fox, grey fox, badger, and raccoon.

Go-to-ground

A simulated hunting activity, this event requires the dog to enter a scented tunnel, proceed to the other end where a rodent is held in a cage, and 'work' the quarry.

Agility

You and your dog work as a team to negotiate a predetermined course of obstacles including tunnels, jumps, a-frame, and a dogwalk for time, without earning penalties.

Racing

Six dogs start in a box., the door opens and they all race down the track after a foxtail lure,  Lightning fast, this is one of the more exciting trial events.
